Organized two times a year by the PTO, the annual Booh Fair provides students and families with the opportunity to expand their personal libraries. These fairs are usually accompanied by special treats such as ice cream and spaghetti* as well as face painting and Karaoke*
Kindergarten through grade five students learn about the scientific method and conduct hands on experiments in class. The Science Fair gives each class the opportunity to demonstrate what has been learned and display a class project to present to parents and other students.
Elementary students participate in a field day of friendly activities with an emphasis on teamwork. Coordinated by the Physical Education Teacher and supported by the PTO and classroom teachers, students engage in activities integrating skills they have developed throughout the year.
Candil Jacaranda celebrates International Day of Peace on September 21. All Toddler and Pre-K-5 students participate in cross-curricular activities highlighting the theme of Peace. The whole school gathers on the field to sing Peace songs and parade for peace.
